Double delight again for Newton

CHRIS Newton scored his usual weekend double in winning the Northern Velo 25-mile trial on Saturday and the senior event of the Darlington Criteriums on Sunday.

Newton demonstrated his superiority when he produced an impressive display of speed and cornering skill in Darlington.

He impressed the crowd in winning by 53 seconds in the 50minute race, beating Shaun Tyson (Hartlepool CC), Niger Nicholson (Richmond and Darlington) and Ian Murray (Stockton WHS).
