Strike two!

Chris Newton continued where he left off yesterday by taking his second gold in the 20km scratch race.

A group of Newton, Tony Gibb (Plowman Craven RT) and dean and Russell Downing took a lap after 25 laps and a second one, initially minus Dean Downing, just five laps later.

Gibb had Newton's back wheel for the last 250 metres at the front of the field, but he coudn't get around and had to settle for silver ahead of Russ Downing.
