David Millar produced another smooth ride to claim his first National Track title, winning the Pursuit in 4.22.322, beating Paul Manning by just under three seconds in a tense and close final. Chris Newton took the bronze in the ride off against Ed Clancy, whilst Geraint Thomas produced one of the rides of the day in securing 5th place with a time of 4.28.539, a class ride by a versatile rider
